Job Description
The Civil Engineer is responsible for various Civil Engineering projects focused on transportation, water, wastewater, and civil site in both rural and urban Alaska. The role involves marketing, writing proposals, developing client relationships, and performing design tasks for small to large size civil infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Alaska Professional Engineer registration
- Minimum of eight (8) years' engineering experience
- Experience working with State of Alaksa Village Safe Water, Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium, and/or USDA Rural Development
- Experience managing small or large projects and professional staff
- Solid understanding of civil design and construction standards, and environmental conditions and constraints
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
- Adaptability and ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure
