Senior/Middle Data Scientist (Data Preparation & Pre-training)

Kyivstar.Tech is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to design, prototype, and develop data preparation and pre-training pipelines for large language models (LLMs). The role involves collaborating with data engineers and data scientists to scale production pipelines, evaluate model performance, and drive model quality. The company focuses on creating technological solutions and products that change lives in Ukraine and around the world.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, preferably with a focus on NLP.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Machine Learning, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, spaCy, NLTK, langdetect, fasttext, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for building NLP models.
• Solid understanding of data analytics and statistics.
• Experience deploying machine learning models in production, including using REST APIs or batch pipelines.
• Familiarity with MLOps concepts and tools.
