Executive Director, Communications

Kymera Therapeutics is seeking an Executive Director, Communications to build and lead a communications strategy. This role will focus on shaping Kymera's internal and external voice, ensuring a cohesive narrative reflecting the company's scientific vision, clinical progress, and corporate culture. The ideal candidate will own end-to-end communications for key milestones and collaborate with key teams to drive investor, patient, and scientific relationships.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, ideally in biotechnology or the broader life sciences industry
• Proven experience leading both internal and external communications, including digital and social strategy, media relations, and executive visibility
• Track record of success partnering closely with senior leadership and investor relations
• Experience supporting communications for clinical data readouts, scientific conferences, and regulatory milestones
• Ability to translate complex science into compelling content
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strategic thinker with a proactive mindset
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in communications, journalism, or life sciences a plus
• Prior experience managing vendors and agencies; budget management experience required
• Demonstrated experience managing teams and coaching senior leaders on communications best practices
