Job Description
The on-call Steward position at The Langham, Chicago, involves transporting and cleaning cooking utensils and serviceware to provide guest dining experience. Responsibilities include thorough cleaning, checking station, maintaining kitchen hygiene, operating kitchen equipment, and performing regular cleaning tasks. Physical strength is essential, and the role requires high activity levels.
Requirements
- Transport and clean cooking utensils and serviceware
- Wash serviceware and replenish storage areas
- Maintain station before, during, and after shift
- Clean and maintain kitchen and Stewarding areas
- Operate burnishing machine
- Polish silver
- Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans
- Empty trash
- Clean floors
- Separate linen
- Perform other duties as assigned
