Job Description
The Lansing School District is seeking a Technical Assistant for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role supports student safety, builds relationships with students and families, and assists teachers in providing engaging and supportive lessons within a diverse and innovative educational environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, prioritize tasks effectively, and ensure student safety while adhering to Individualized Education Program (IEP) instructions.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree
- 60 completed college credits
- Proof of passing the ETS Paraprofessional Exam
- Previous experience working with students with special education needs (preferred)
- Understanding of how to read and understand a student's IEP (preferred)
