Job Description
The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals in hospice settings. This role focuses on pain and symptom management, emotional support, and comfort during the end-of-life process, ensuring compassionate and efficient care in a hospice environment. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and adapt to changing conditions, and the position is scheduled for PRN work with varying shifts.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- 1+ years of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in hospice, palliative care, or a related field.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a range of nursing procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritization, time management, and adaptability.
- Compassionate and caring demeanor.
- Knowledge of hospice and palliative care principles.
- CPR certification.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and transfer patients.
