Job Description

LaunchDarkly is seeking a Backend Engineer to build enterprise-scale capabilities that empower organizations to adopt feature management best practices. The role involves designing and implementing robust backend services in Go, developing APIs for automation and governance workflows, and shaping internal frameworks to support enterprise adoption. The ideal candidate will solve complex technical challenges and directly impact both LaunchDarkly and its customers.

Requirements

5+ years of professional experience in backend software development
Experience building scalable and reliable distributed systems
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Rust, C++)
Experience building and consuming APIs
Good understanding of system design and domain modeling
Familiarity with observability concepts
Collaborative and communicative team player
