The Law Foundation of Silicon Valley is seeking a Staff Attorney to join their Housing Program. The Housing Program is dedicated to preventing displacement of low-income individuals and communities of color through direct legal services and system change work.
Requirements
- Current member in good standing with the California State Bar
- Experience with high-volume caseload, including representing tenants in unlawful detainer actions
- Ability to identify, investigate and resolve client problems
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
- Experience in policy advocacy and/or organizing
- Experience in community lawyering
- Connections to and experience working with diverse populations
- Ability to interact compassionately with individuals in crisis
- Passion for social justice and racial equity
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, writing, interviewing and organizational skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or Vietnamese (preferred)
- Commitment to racial equity, inclusion and belonging
- Alignment with the mission and values of LFSV
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or similar
