Yard Operative

Lawsons has an exciting new opportunity for a Yard Operative to join our busy Acton branch. As a Yard Operative, you will share responsibility for the smooth running of our busy yard, ensuring customer vehicles are loaded efficiently and safely, helping maintain organised stock, and demonstrating excellent customer service at every opportunity.

Requirements

• Safely load and unload timber, building supplies, and fencing products to customer and company vehicles
• Keep the yard tidy, well organised, and compliant with all Health & Safety requirements and risk assessments
• Assist customers by quickly locating and retrieving materials, providing knowledgeable, friendly and respectful service
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory management
• Operate forklifts and other handling equipment in a safe and controlled manner
• Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure a positive, inclusive and productive environment
• Contribute to the safety-first culture promoted throughout Lawsons, reporting any safety issues to management promptly
