Job Description
This Family Services Specialist IV position within the Child Protective Services unit focuses on supervising a team and providing guidance to staff in cases involving suspected child abuse or neglect. The role involves assignments of cases, treatment plan development, court proceedings, program implementation, and staff training. The position requires a high degree of independent work with a focus on cases with complex situations.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or a bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices.
- Ability to investigate and conduct interviews.
- Effective communication skills.
- Computer skills and proficiency in operating a motor vehicle.
- Willingness to work in the community emergency shelter.
