We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Growth Engineering team, which is responsible for driving new tool development, user retention, monetization, cross-sell, internationalization, payments, and growth experimentation across QuillBot’s products.
Requirements
- 8+ Years of Hands-On Development: Strong experience building and scaling distributed systems and complex web applications.
- Growth-Oriented Mindset: Deep understanding of growth funnels, experimentation frameworks, and user journey optimization.
- 5+ Years with JavaScript-Based Stacks: Proficiency in React, Node.js, and TypeScript; familiarity with modern web performance and deployment patterns.
- 3+ Years of Architectural Leadership: Proven experience designing modular, event-driven, and service-oriented architectures.
- Data-Driven Thinking: Comfortable working with growth analytics, experiment data, and warehouse ecosystems (BigQuery, Amplitude, Snowflake, etc.).
- Payments & Monetization Expertise: Prior experience building or integrating global payment systems, subscriptions, or credit-based monetization flows.
- AI Product Familiarity: Understanding of how LLM-powered features are built and instrumented for engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Cloud & Infra Strength: Expertise with cloud providers (GCP / AWS), containerization, observability, caching, and database technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work fluidly with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to deliver measurable user and business outcomes.
