Lexington Health is a comprehensive healthcare network seeking a Cytotechnologist to perform microscopic screening, assist with cytopreparations, and report results to the pathologist. The position involves maintaining a knowledge of lab procedures, conducting quality control, and providing excellent customer service to patients and staff. The role is part of the Cytology Division and will report to the Cytology Supervisor.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Cytotechology or related field
- CAHEA or HHS approved Cytology program completion
- Minimum ASCP (CT) certification or eligibility for exam
- Knowledge of patient populations (infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric)
- Knowledge of specimen collection, transport, processing, staining, screening, and computer proficiency
