We're looking for a Senior Legal Counsel – Corporate Finance/Treasury to act as a trusted legal and commercial adviser to Liberty Global's Finance Department. The role will support the structuring, negotiation and execution of complex financing transactions, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, effectively and in line with Liberty Global's risk appetite and governance framework.
Requirements
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales or other common law jurisdiction) with significant post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Strong background in finance, treasury and corporate transactions, ideally with exposure to high yield bonds and/or syndicated leveraged loans.
- Experience advising on cross-border transactions within complex international group structures.
- Proven track record of managing multiple matters simultaneously and delivering outcomes under pressure.
- Commercially minded with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and credibility to influence senior stakeholders and external parties.
- Self-sufficient, proactive and confident operating both independently and within cross-functional teams.
- Telecoms, technology, infrastructure or media sector experience advantageous but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and document management tools.
