The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and project management with the General Contractors as well as serving as the in-house general contractor. This role is also responsible for the communication with Central and campus teams that are involved on each project to ensure everyone is up to date. The Construction Project Manager will maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality, and safety standards while adapting to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities.
Requirements
- Ensure accurate budget and timeline estimates are created for projects.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors.
- Review building documents for accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure necessary documentation is completed (change orders, submittals, requests for information, etc.).
- Complete regular site visits to ensure Construction is on-time and on-budget, and that excellence standards are being met.
- Ensure that all projects are adhering to required safety standards and course correct when needed.
- Serve as the in-house General Contractor through project management.
- Provide regular updates for key stakeholders on projects.
- Manage expectations of key stakeholders.
- Provide, at a minimum, weekly updates on all projects through Basecamp.
