Job Description
The Lead Operating Engineer is responsible for maintaining the HVAC and mechanical equipment within a building. They focus on system monitoring, energy efficiency, chiller maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance. The role involves interacting with the Chief Engineer and supervising contractors.
Requirements
- Experience in HVAC maintenance with a focus on preventive maintenance.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Universal Refrigeration Certification (desired).
- Strong electrical, plumbing and HVAC skills.
- Ability to read schematics.
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- Valid drug screen and criminal background check.
