Job Description
Our client, a premier government supply and service provider, is seeking a Network Administrator/Technical Support Specialist in Kearneysville, WV. The qualified candidate will troubleshoot computer software and hardware issues, provide technical support, and maintain network performance.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in an IT support role
- Proven experience in a network administrator role
- Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Must possess a solid understanding of computer network cabling
- Strong background in server management and software installations and upgrades
