The Financial Analyst will serve as the financial and operational support for the Canadian freight line of business, reporting to the VP of Operations in Laval QC.
Requirements
- Prepare and review financial reports to support analysis and decision making
- Build upon KPI metrics leveraging/collaborating with the CA IFTS SFA and Operations
- Support operational projects/upgrades for Canadian IFTS including but not limited to operation, financial system, etc.
- Assist in identifying and solving system issues as needed as well as making recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Investigate and resolve or escalate issues, on a timely basis, relating to financial data quality, unusual transactions, outstanding items and reconciliations when necessary
- Partner with business unit leader and/or senior management to analyze and provide operational and financial guidance
- Perform variance analysis proactively throughout the month and after results are final
- Prepare and distribute financial reporting packages to assigned business unit leader(s) and senior management in a timely manner
- Ensure consistent financial reporting and analysis
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis, when requested
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
