Senior DevOps Engineer

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Strategic Enablement Lab Team within our Colleague Channels Platform in Halifax. This is a greenfield engineering-focused lab team that was recently stood up to build new applications that benefit not just our 20 million mobile banking customers, but our internal teams as well.

Requirements

• Proficiency in managing and deploying applications on public cloud (GCP preferred; AWS, Azure)
• Strong knowledge of Groovy programming language
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Demonstrable knowledge of system administration (Ansible)
• Strong knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Understanding of network segmentation and subnetting
• Experience with Helm for managing Kubernetes applications
• Proficiency with multiple CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Spinnaker/Harness)
• Knowledge of configuring and managing firewalls for security
• Strong understanding of information/network security principles and practices
• Experience with managing secrets and certificates, such as using HashiCorp Vault
• Ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders such as Product Owners
• Prior experience coaching and mentoring fellow team members for knowledge sharing
• Strong risk management skills
