We're looking for a Technical Application Support Specialist (TASS) to join our Segments and Propositions platform team. As a TASS, you'll be responsible for running and maintaining a set of products and services on a combination of Private Cloud (Kendryl) and Public Cloud (GCP). You'll need to have strong hands-on development experience and a strong understanding of coding languages, SRE & DevOps, and cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of coding language IRIS/MUMPS
- Proficient in.NET, SQL & React
- Strong understanding of SRE & DevOps, including experience of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Terraform, or Jenkins
- Any Programming language experience
- SRE mentality (SLI, SLO & SLA) using Observability, Logging, Monitoring & Alerting (Dynatrace)
- Proficient in the following tooling – Dynatrace, Splunk, SRE GCP & Cloud Observability
- Knowledge of GCP and Azure cloud platforms
- Experience in identifying toil and design automated solutions to remove it
- Leading a team, mentoring, coaching, and developing peers across the teams in the lab, while the other major part of the role will be acting as a completely hands-on DevOps/SRE to lead by example
- Maintain, support & improve our cloud infrastructure in a specific technical area
- Investigate, fix and remove service issues with an engineering mindset. Identify ways in which to improve observability continuously.
- Lead incident post-mortems
- Support building a strong team by mentoring early career engineers to advance technical skills
