Aircraft Painter

As the Aircraft Painter, you will be responsible for setting up various types of spray painting equipment and applying primer, finish, and protective paint and paint-like coatings to parts and subassemblies.

Requirements

• Mixing paints to specified proportions and to obtain proper consistency for application
• Performing incidental preparatory duties such as cleaning and preparing surfaces for painting and masking to skin breaks or other physical references
• Laying out for, masking, and spraying all types of primer, finish, and protective coatings on surfaces of detail parts and of sub-assemblies
• Making operating adjustments to painting equipment to control spray pattern, density, and splatter as required
• Spray painting crew, equipment, passenger, stowage, and wheel-well compartments, and other interior surfaces of unstuffed major aircraft assemblies
