As the Quality Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for providing quality engineering expertise to support the program’s quality objectives, developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures, and driving continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s level degree or higher in STEM
- Demonstrated experience with nonconformance management, corrective action, and root cause analysis methodologies
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, workmanship standards, and contractual requirements
- Experience supporting inspection planning, acceptance criteria, and defect disposition processes
- Proficiency in analyzing quality data and metrics to support risk-based decisions and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and competing schedules
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interfacing across engineering, operations, supply chain, and program teams
- Experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing, including high-reliability or mission-critical hardware
- Experience applying AS9100 / ISO 9001 requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience supporting internal, customer, or regulatory audits
- Familiarity with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
- Familiarity with MRB, FRB, SPC, and risk mitigation tools
- Familiarity with digital manufacturing and enterprise systems (e.g., Apriso, SAP, Windchill)
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving efforts and influence outcomes without direct authority
- Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to junior engineers or inspectors
