Job Description
Loft is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own complex hardware throughout the lifecycle of satellites, from conceptual design to production, as part of the Loft Orbital team. The role involves developing design criteria, collaborating on requirements, and optimizing system performance for various customer payloads, with a focus on environmental testing and compliance. This position is critical for developing the standard products for Loft's mission-critical satellites.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 3+ year of design experience using 3D CAD software and 2D drawings
- Evidence of successful hardware ownership
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with autonomy
