Job Description
The Endoscopy Technician 1 provides technical support to physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, performing cleaning, disinfection, and troubleshooting of endoscopes. This role requires close collaboration with a Registered Nurse and contributes to a safe and supportive patient environment.
Requirements
- Read, write, speak English (and Spanish preferred)
- Troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment
- Comply with department-specific policies, protocols, and guidelines
- Assist with patient care (unit secretarial and clerical aspects)
- Work calmly under pressure
- Lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate (with minimal supervision)
- Read and interpret visual and auditory cues
- Maintain basic math skills
