Dispatch Associate

Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking a Dispatch Associate to schedule drivers for electrical tool and supply pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient service. The ideal candidate is reliable, customer-focused, and possesses strong communication and organizational skills. They will manage truckloads, monitor drivers, maintain records, and oversee vehicles. A driver familiar with shipping industry processes will be preferred.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills to prepare and assign routes
• Strong leadership skills to ensure drivers’ compliance with direction and assignments
• Basic understanding of geographical area and mapping programs
• Proficient with dispatch and recordkeeping systems
• Ability to work at a fast pace and under pressure
• Thorough understanding of shipping industry
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and spend 50% of time stationary
• Ability to navigate physical premises
• Ability to work with computer systems and office machinery
