Resident Counselor

The Resident Counselor is responsible for guiding and supporting residents with psychiatric disabilities in a community residence setting. This role involves providing individualized care, managing medication, encouraging independence, and collaborating with a team to achieve goals within the provided service plan. The position requires a commitment to dignity, respect, and compassion for residents and staff.

Requirements

• Serve as a primary counselor to a group of residents.
• Consult with case managers and residents to develop service plans.
• Complete documentation relating to resident service plans.
• Provide assessment and response to resident needs.
• Train residents in the use of community resources.
