The Maintenance Lead is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the plant, overseeing maintenance tasks and projects, and maintaining equipment information and repair files.
Requirements
- Ensures crew members are aware of and in compliance with established safety practices
- Gathers parts needed and checks spare parts inventory
- Documents work in CMMS (parts and labor)
- Inspects work quality and updates the status of the Work Orders
- Maintains equipment information, repair files, and parts data for up-to-date accuracy
- Oversees that maintenance tasks & projects are done in a safe and timely manner
- Collects and processes predictive/reliability data from plant equipment
- Learns plant process and procedures for better understanding of how equipment is utilized
- Provides needed training related to repairs & safety to members in their area
- Ensures areas of responsibility are maintained in an orderly and safe manner
- Complies with all applicable company standards and government regulations
- Promptly reports unsafe working conditions to management and communicates potential hazards to affected employees
- Promptly reports all incidents to management and conducts incident investigation when assigned
- Performs job analysis, safety/risk analysis and preventative maintenance analysis
- Ensures orderly shift change by communicating issues and/or ongoing tasks with Assistant Maintenance Superintendents and maintenance staff
- Performs all required inspection rounds
- Records all visual damage and mechanical problems that occur while on shift
- Notifies Management of any production problems
