Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Fastener Design Engineer to join their team. This role involves designing and developing joint fasteners for luxury electric vehicles, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and striving for improvements to manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of GD&T, materials selection, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of automotive Fastener engineering experience (OEM or supplier) or equivalent
- Experience in fastener mechanical testing (torque to failure)
- Experience in fastener selection and recommendations
- Experience performing design reviews of fastener joints
- Solid understanding of GD&T standards, material selections, and DFM principles
- Design release engineering experience
- Profound creativity in resolving mechanical design problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent
