Senior Staff Thermal Engineer

Requirements

• Lead/coordinate the work of engineers involved in thermal control hardware design and operation
• Work closely with the Thermal Analysis Lead to ensure design closure of the Thermal Control Subsystem of the vehicle
• Accountable for the thermal control hardware design
• Present the thermal design and status at internal and customer meetings and reviews
• Ensure mechanical and interface control drawings for thermal control hardware are produced according to the program schedule and requirements
• Coordinate procurement of thermal control hardware in line with the program schedule
• Involved in the management of the thermal control hardware budget
• Coordinate testing and instrumentation of thermal control hardware in component, sub-system, and/or vehicle level testing in cooperation with the Thermal Analysis Lead and Test Group Lead.
• Responsible for the tracking of thermal control hardware
• Inspect installed engineering unit and flight unit thermal control hardware for compliance with drawings and requirements
