Job Description
The Early LIFE Food Handler/Teacher’s Aide manages the food program provided to students of the preschool and assumes Teacher’s Aide responsibilities. This staff member receives food deliveries, distributes snacks and meals, and assists with supervising and teaching students.
Requirements
- Ensure that appropriate meals and snacks are provided to students as scheduled.
- Comply with all health and sanitary regulations and guidelines governing food preparation, storage and cooking.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Assist the Head Teacher and Assistant Teacher in supervising, instructing and supporting students.
- Represent Lutheran Social Service of New York’s mission, values, ethics, and uphold agency Code of Conduct at all times.
