Job Description
Lynker is seeking a Geospatial Analyst to support NOAA’s Office for Coastal Management (OCM) with remote sensing and geospatial data management. The ideal candidate will work in the Science and Geospatial Services Division, focusing on land cover data production and quality assurance reviews. The position involves integrating different data sources and creating maps and reports related to coastal change analysis programs.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field (GIS, geography, or related) OR Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of related experience
- Some experience with GIS, remote sensing, and geographic data analysis
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro, Erdas Imagine, QGIS, Global Mapper, Trimble eCognition, FeatureAnalyst, or similar software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Knowledge of coastal management and coastal processes
