Mechanical Engineer (Stratospheric Vehicles)

Mach Industries is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and prototype cutting-edge mechanical and embedded systems for next-generation autonomous defense platforms. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the development of novel stratospheric vehicles, blending mechanical engineering expertise with embedded systems design to create innovative, high-performance solutions.

Requirements

• Design and prototype mechanical systems for novel stratospheric vehicles, including structural components, pneumatics, and refrigerant systems.
• Develop embedded systems to control mechanical devices, such as pneumatic actuators and sensors, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.
• Create 3D models of mechanical components using CAD tools, iterating designs based on prototyping, testing, and mission requirements.
• Conduct hands-on testing and validation of prototypes, refining designs to meet durability, weight, and performance targets.
• Support the development of scalable manufacturing processes for mechanical and embedded systems, leveraging rapid prototyping.
• Research and apply emerging technologies, such as advanced thermal management or lightweight materials, to enhance system capabilities.
