The Senior Event Specialist will support the event management of IGM Financial, including end-to-end event logistics, technology platforms, communications, and data reporting. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Education/skills acquired through completion of a specialized post secondary degree or equivalent in Event Planning
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Event Planning
- Strong technical and data analytics skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to apply those to all events; ability to build a deep understanding of the business strategy driving the Event strategy
- Subject Matter Expert with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Copilot)
- Strong working knowledge of event registration systems and virtual conference platforms
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities and duties
- Able to work within tight timelines
- Team player and collaborator
- Ability to take directions well and run highly impactful events
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills to build internal buy-in for Event recommendations, and relay event details and requirements to internal and external participants
