Senior C# Engineer - Risk Engineering

We are seeking a Staff Engineer to join one of our Risk Engineering teams. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who sets multi-year technical strategy and delivers it through direct implementation and broad technical leadership across the Man Risk Platform.

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in C#/.NET with a track record of delivering complex, cross-team technical projects
• Deep understanding of system architecture and distributed systems design
• Proven experience shaping technical strategy — making sound technical choices in ambiguous situations and driving alignment across teams
• Strong knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, ClickHouse, MongoDB) including schema design, query optimisation, and performance tuning at scale
• Experience with data pipeline technologies (e.g. Kafka) in production environments
• Embracing agentic engineering — ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and drive adoption across the team
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive consensus
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Strong advocate for collaborative development practices and continuous improvement
