We are seeking a Millwright for our steel mill in Peoria, IL, to perform maintenance tasks with a strong focus on electrical systems and equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or an associate's degree in industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or facilities maintenance, with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment
• Proficient in using maintenance tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters and vibration analyzers
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance strategies and practices to ensure equipment reliability
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform necessary repairs or adjustments with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in maintenance, including lockout/tagout procedures, confined space entry, and handling hazardous materials
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities and generating reports
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively report issues and document maintenance tasks
