CNC Operator 3rd Shift -- Abilene, Tx

We're looking for skilled CNC Machine Operators to join our team at Martin Sprocket & Gear. As a CNC Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathe machines, optimizing setup times, and following in-process part inspection protocols.

Requirements

• CNC Operation: Set up full production cycle and operate CNC Lathe machines
• Machine Optimization: Optimize setup times, improve productivity, maintain offsets, and maximize machine utilization
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints and route instructions
• GD&T Application: Apply expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Program Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments
• Inspection Process: Follow in-process part inspection protocols and report non-conformance issues to the Supervisor/Lead
• Collaborative Communication: Coordinate with superintendents, managers, production control, and quality personnel to resolve quality concerns
• Safety Compliance: Work safely and consistently wear required PPE throughout the shift
• Shift Documentation: Record and document issues for a seamless shift transition
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance checks and document findings
