Senior Material Developer

Become a driving force of change at MAS Active, a global leader in athleisure and performance wear. Develop fabric to suit internal processes and execute the technical approval process to ensure fabric viability for production.

Requirements

• Maintain the fabric library to the best standard
• Liaise with suppliers to develop fabric and negotiate for cost-effective prices
• Examine the fabric price in detail and ensure it is justified
• Develop and test fabric with supplier according to customer's requirements
• Liaise with colorist to develop lab dips and submit to customers
• Liaise with Material Manager (Quality) to ensure all new fabric PP meetings are conducted & documented
• Submit fabric and relevant details to Business Development teams
• Manage and update the development tracking chart on a weekly basis
• Tentative greige booking with suppliers based on customer projections
• Ensure that all developments are routed through the PLM system in a timely manner
• Work with relevant Business Divisions to understand current customer trends and innovation
• Maintain a working knowledge of government regulations, safety protocols and performance standards for textiles
