Job Description
McAdams is seeking a Project Engineer to join their active transportation and greenways practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Florida. This role involves project management, design development, permitting, and mentoring junior team members. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advancing infrastructure and creating sustainable communities. This position is part of a full-service land planning firm focused on inspiring design.
Requirements
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- PE registration in North Carolina or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in transportation design in the public or private sector
- Demonstrated corridor modeling expertise in Civil 3D is essential
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
- Knowledge of NCDOT standards and procedures a plus
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience providing mentorship and managing tasks concurrently
