Job Description
The Quality Technician provides support to manufacturing operations or Quality Engineering by testing and inspecting products at various stages of production and compiling and evaluating collected data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Requirements
- Interprets engineering drawings and schematic diagrams to inspect or test product
- Records test data and applies statistical process control procedures
- Documents reports to validate or identify deviations from existing standards
- Supports calibration of tools and gages
- Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products
- Operates various types of measurement equipment
- Leads and/or supports gage R&R or related measurement system analysis activities
- Coordinates activities related to Material Review Board (MRB) or supports as directed
- Leads containment activities and/or supports sorting activities as requested
- Leads or supports audits as requested by quality department
