Plans, organizes and prioritizes work activities, assigns tasks to workers and allocates equipment and materials to accomplish assigned tasks. Confers with employees and other agency staff to resolve problems. Plans and conducts periodic inspections and schedules preventive maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Three years custodial, grounds keeping or maintenance experience directly related to the area of employment
- Ability to perform job functions in an upright position
- Ability to perform job functions while walking/mobile
- Ability to climb and work from ladders
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather and temperature extremes
- Ability to work from elevated areas
- Ability to perform job functions from kneeling positions
- Ability to bend at the waist
- Ability to lift and carry weights of 50 lbs. or greater, a distance of 20 feet, unassisted
- Ability to lift and carry weights of 100 lbs. or greater, assisted
- Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, corrected
- Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction
- Ability to control movement of power operated equipment, i.e. polishers
- Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use
- Ability to push/pull carts, mowers, etc.
