Registered Nurse II - Adult Inpatient/Mental Health

3N is a 30-bed adult psych inpatient unit, located on the third floor of the Northside of the Institute of Psychiatry building. All patient rooms are semi private & serve adult patients (18 yrs. & over) admitted for acute crisis stabilization for a broad range of mental illness, including major depression, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and more. The Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required
• One year of work experience as a registered nurse required
