Assistant Professor

The Lloyd C. Elam Mental Health Center (MHC) is seeking an Assistant Professor to provide medical oversight of psychiatric services, provide psychiatric care to patients, and assume primary responsibility for quality of medical and clinical services.

Requirements

• Provides psychiatric care to a panel of patients at the Elam MHC.
• Timely psychiatric documentation of care and treatment plans in the electronic health record.
• Assume primary responsibility for treatment planning, discharge planning, and medical service delivery concerning the operation of all Elam Center treatment services.
• Provide medical supervision for all medical staff.
• Manages administrative responsibilities such as integration and coordination of medical, psychiatric, and substance use disorder services.
• Collaborates with faculty and psychiatry residency to determine clinical faculty and resident on-call schedules.
• Work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of the Elam MHC.
• Acquire and maintain functional knowledge of clinical chart reviews of patients.
• Participate in assessment and revision of treatment protocols for substance abuse disorder services according to evidence-based treatment.
• Assists in the design, implementation, and evaluation of new clinical programs.
