The position of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Generalist is to provide specialized care in the treatment of women's health conditions, focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and the female reproductive system, providing comprehensive medical care throughout various life stages.
Requirements
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across the patient life cycle
- Manage prenatal care for low- to moderate-risk pregnancies
- Perform gynecologic procedures
- Deliver inpatient obstetric services
- Counsel patients on fertility, contraception, prenatal screening, and lifestyle factors affecting pregnancy outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Lead and participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and evidence-based practice changes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in teaching and supervision of residents, medical students, or allied health professionals
- Contribute to academic activities, including didactic lectures, curriculum development, and simulation training for residents and medical students
- Serve as preceptor for mentoring and advising students and residents
- Monitoring and participate in the evaluation of students and residents during their training in obstetrics and gynecology
- Participate in serving on institutional, departmental and school academic committees, curriculum development and supervision and interviewing
