Job Description
Provide specialist advice and work alongside the Data Scientist Specialist in completing data preparation, data sourcing and data cleansing activities as it relates to the current CLIENT IT platform.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems or other relevant discipline
- 8 years of IT experience within Oil & Gas industry with specific experience establishing IT Systems and Applications
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining and social network analysis
- Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM & Decision Forests
- Experience with common data science toolkits and data visualization tools
- Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig and SAP HANA
- Experience with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase and SAP HANA
- High standard of written and Spoken English
- Computer Literacy (MS Office) including the use of software applications and SAP modules
- Awareness in applying standards, practices, codes, assessment and certification programs relevant to the IT industry
- Compliance towards IT and business continuity risks and their mitigation
