A Utility Associate assists in a Community's Dining Services areas completing cleaning tasks, washing dishes, and cleaning equipment as necessary to comply with applicable Community standards and sanitation requirements.
Requirements
- be at least 18 years of age
- have earned a high-school diploma or equivalent
- have general knowledge of: sanitation guidelines and governmental regulations applicable to food handling and storage, kitchen safety protocol, and the operation of the Community's kitchen equipment
- have all required Servsafe certifications
- be able to safely adapt to temperature variations in the Community's cooking and food storage areas
- maintain mental alertness, attention, and concentration for prolonged periods
- maintain moderate physical activity for an entire shift, occasionally handling objects up to 50 pounds and frequently handling objects up to 20 pounds
- have the ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers, handle/feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
