Backend Engineer (m/f/d)

Mercanis is building the Agentic AI Procurement Suite and is looking for a Backend Engineer to build modern, reliable backend services and grow their technical expertise. The role involves working closely with senior engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver features that bring real value to customers.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of professional experience as a backend or full-stack engineer, working with Node.js and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of backend fundamentals, including asynchronous programming, API development, and data handling
• Experience working with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Working knowledge of unit testing and code quality practices
• A collaborative mindset, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions and grow
• Clear communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
