Mercari is seeking a Software Engineer, Machine Learning to join their Engineering Principles team. This role involves building and maintaining ML pipelines for ranking, recommendation, and fraud prevention, leveraging LLMs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The goal is to create a scalable, reliable, and accessible platform for users and sellers.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with machine learning model lifecycle (training, deployment, monitoring)
• Practical experience with computer vision and NLP techniques in ML systems
• Ability to independently analyze data and model metrics
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
