Stick Welder (Free-Hand SMAW)

Mestex is seeking a Stick Welder (Free-Hand SMAW) with strong free-hand SMAW experience to perform welding on structural and pressure-related components. The role involves performing free-hand Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) on carbon steel and alloy steel components, and requires a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of hands-on Stick (SMAW) welding experience, including free-hand welding
• Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, vertical, overhead)
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols
• Strong basic math and measurement skills
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime and support production demands
