Job Description
Methods Analytics (MA) is seeking a Data Architect to join their team in London, Sheffield, and Bristol. This is a permanent, remote role focused on advocating data standards, designing data solutions, and mentoring junior team members. The Data Architect will work with both legacy and modern data systems, focusing on transforming data into actionable insights.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of the Azure data stack
- Extensive data modeling experience (normalized relational and de-normalized Star Schema/Dimensional models)
- Excellent relational database design skills
- Proven track record with complex data migration projects (terabyte+ datasets, multiple legacy systems)
- Proficiency with Parquet/Delta Lake or other modern data storage formats
- Experience with streaming architectures (Kafka, Event Hubs, or Kinesis)
- Knowledge of data architectures supporting AI/ML workloads
- Experience processing and managing unstructured data types
- Understanding of Lambda and Kappa architectural patterns
- Security Clearance: UKSV Clearance (with Security Check (SC) and/or Developed Vetting (DV))
- Public sector or defence experience
