Job Description
The Metropolitan Council's Metro Transit Division is seeking experienced Bus and Rail Mechanic Technicians to repair and maintain buses, rail vehicles, and equipment. Requirements
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to obtain Class A Commercial Driver's Permit within six months (Minnesota residents)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical (Class A Commercial Driver's Permit)
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, principles of analog/digital electronics, PLC’s and welding skills
- Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Basic welding and oxygen/acetylene cutting torch skills
- Computer skills including diagnostic software
