Metromont LLC is a leading construction company that is seeking a Material Handler to join their dynamic team. The Material Handler will be responsible for preparing product, trailer, and ground for safe unloading, communicating with truck drivers and crane operators, and loading and unloading trailers.
Requirements
- Prepare product, trailer, and ground to safely unload product
- Effectively communicate with truck drivers, overhead crane and travel crane operations
- Loading of trailers
- Unloading trailers
- Proper dunnage placement
- Load leveling
- Properly sequence loads onto trailer
- Identify and report damaged or defective product
- Off load list, locate pieces of concrete product identified as being shipped that day
- Work with mi-jack crane operator in safely proceeding to product's location
- Rig product to be lifted as needed
- Set timbers on trailer in preparation for product loading
- Unhook rigging on product once laid on trailer correctly
- Work as a part of a team assisting others as needed
- Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety regulations and policies
- Ability to operate tablet to identify items to be loaded or offloaded
- Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
